    Great News!!!  We have been given permission to have an End of Year celebration  - TOMORROW - FRIDAY MAY 16 - during 7th and 8th period.  Unless you have received a note from me, you are welcome to attend.  I have put out an email to the staff, so you should check in with your 7th period teacher and then come to my room.  We will have pizza and Eegees. You are welcome to bring goodies - chips, drinks, baked goods, etc. - if you want to and are able.  We will be watching a movie as well.  Hope to see you there!!!!

  This speech was given as the culminating event at the "March on Washington" that took place on August 28, 1963 in Washington D.C.  This was one of the most important events of the Civil Rights Movement in that era.
