The matrix (TIM) was developed by ARRA for teachers to use as a resource in the development of rigor in the classroom. The matrix is broken into 2 parts.... Teacher where it begins with teacher useage through cultivation and Student where it has students engaged with activities through using technology as a tool for research, setting goals and finally ability to evaluate their progress.
The matrix levels provide a discription of how to establish teacher facilitating and students actively engaging in their learning. Students do the work.
The matrix allows you to see the levels of learning ... this does not mean you are always at the highest levels at all times but to interface all levels throughout the course.
