Description of Unit: This topic expands students’ understandings and skills related to quadratic relations and conic sections. Students will identify the possible conic sections formed depending on the angle of intersection of the cone and plane, graph functions of circles, identify conic sections based on their equations, and differentiate between ellipses and hyperbolas algebraically and graphically.
